I just got a DVR-921, and connected to a legacy Dish500 dish using two SW21 switches. One in satlellite 1 input and the other in satellite 2 input. I want to use an older Dish300 dish that I have in the garage to get the CBSHD channels.
What configuration will I need to do this???

#1 - Get an SW64 switch (with a Legacy Dual LNB on the sideslot).
#2 - Get a Legacy TWIN LNB for the Dish500, and put a Legacy Dual LNB in the sideslot. Use the the SW21s to join the two.
The above are probably your cheapest options.
Others -
#3 - Get a DISHPRO TWIN LNB for the Dish500, a DISHPRO SINGLE LNB for the sideslot, and a DP34 switch.
#3 is possible, but more expensive. OTOH, it easily expands once you go past 4 tuners.(just add another DP34 or two DP34 if you need to (up to 3 DP34's)).

Can you tie an SW21 into an SW44 like you can an SW64?
I'd say go SW64, because if they put the new HD channels on the 105, you can use an old Primestar dish and run it into the SW64, and run the 61.5 into that using SW21s. Just a thought.

Why not use the DPP44 switch? Wouldn't that be cleaner than the
SW64, plus incorporating legacy capabilities and separator capabilities?

Because they don't have a DP FSS LNB available. And, I got a much better signal on the 105 w/ a 40"x30" Primestar dish than I could get with a Superdish. My 721 works better on my SW64 than it ever did on my DP Quad. And I've already ran 2 lines for my 721, so the seperator is a moot point. Being an installer has a lot of advantages.
