Does DishN have a dvr which you can use the internet to program your DVR to record certain shows...or is that DirecTV? It would be neat If we could do that with the DVR522.... :)

Dish does NOT have this capability. TiVo just announced it. It's not clear whether Direct will or will not have this capability.

The only one that has that capability that I'm aware of is the ReplayTV's.

Perhaps you are thinking of the recent Tivo announcement regarding sharing recordings via the Internet?

TiVos had the online scheduling for a while now, at least six months or so. The service is called TiVo Central Online and it's only avaiable for standalone TiVos.

I believe the DirecTivo might be hackable to do it, as well.

I don't see how it could be hacked. This service is not just dependent on the physical DVR. You have to register with the TiVo Online service by submitting your TiVo Service Number, if you enter the service# of a DirecTiVo you get an invalid number error.
