I received an e-mail from SBC and a survey on a new home entertainment offering they must be considering. Sorry I didn't grab a screen shot on the full description but it was called something like the SBC/Dish Home Entertainment Solution.
It was a package of an DVR, wireless network connection to a home network and stereo, DSL service and DVD burner. The premise was you could wirelessly connnect your DVR to the PC to archive shows or steam content from the PC (music, photos, VOD downloads, etc) to the IRD/DVR, also stream music from the IRD/DVR to home stereo, and set the DVR to record from the internet. Also asked whether I would prefer to have HD DVR or a DVR with a built in DVD burner. There were several different options for paying (I chose the one time $99 payment as my preferrred option). All in all sounded very cool! Now we will have to wait and see if anything comes from this.
