I am looking for a cheap good wireless video transmitter I would like it around $50 or $60. I was looking at the Terk one crutchfield sells and it has a coaxial output but no input. I need one with a coaxial input because I would like to send the signal from my satellite dish to the reviever wireless because I had it installed in one place and then moved the reciever and dont want to have to fish wire through the walls. I also would like to send signals out of the coaxial output of another reciever to another tv to watch the same thing but on 2 tv's so I need a coaxial input and output but I can't seem to find one like that.

There's NO WAY, NO HOW you are going to send a satellite feed from dish to receiver wirelessly. Ain't gonna happen. Not possible. Nope, nyet, nada, zip.

As for sending the receiver's output, that can be done, but I do not know of any units with a RF (coax) input. That requires a tuner built into the sending unit.

What receivers do you have that you don't have RCA jacks on them?

Ok I'm ok with running wire from the the dish to the reciver just didn't want to but I think I can run white wire outside the house ok. My reciver has rca outputs but I use those to connect to my tv in my theater room. I would also like to connect the reciever to that tv and the one upstairs even though I will have to watch the same think so like if I want to watch American Chopper or something I can turn in on then go upstairs.

"White wire" doesn't sound like 2150MHz RG-6 to me. If you use anything less, you'll regret it - if not now, then later. Anyway, how far did you move the receiver? Why can't you just "extend" the existing feed from the dish?

I note you still haven't told us your receiver model, so I can't offer any help on that side of the problem.

I have the Dishnetwork 301 Reciever and I moved the reciver upstairs. It was downstairs and that is where the wire from the dish comes into the house. Right now I have the wire just running up the wall to the reciever but I would like to eliminate that wire. I don't really want to run black wire against white siding all around the back and side of the house and I knew I had seen some white coaxial cable somewhere infact I have a short monster cable that is white and I know it is RG-6 and I don't know if it is 2150MHZ or not but it would work im sure. I have about decided I don't want to do that though because I'm not crazy about drilling another hole in the house. I didn't know if the wireless transmitters would work or not but it seemed like a good option if it did. I haven't really read about home theater equipment in 6 months or a year maybe since I have been doing other things, but I do know that RG-59 coax cable will get fried with a satellite signal.

OK - yes, there is white 2150MHz RG-6. So, all you have to decide is how you want to run the cable. Two choices, ain't there - inside or outside. :)

As for the 301, it's got the full complement of outputs, so ya just gotta pick 'em. There is probably an RCA splitting box out there - maybe it just takes Y-cables to do it.

Ok yeah I thought about trying to split the AV cables but I am not sure If I will notice a difference in quality and don't want to loose quality in my home theater room on that tv or sound quality for that matter either. I wish the 301 had an optical out thought for my reciver but I don't really watch stuff that is in 5.1 anyway. I would like to run the cable inside but am not sure I'm capable of running it through the walls without making a big mess and I don't want to drill another whole in the house to run in in through the outside. Not sure what I will end up doing.

If you don't want to use AV input to the transmitter, then you may need to get one of the older 900MHz units. I have one made by Vidicraft that has both AV and Ch.3 inputs. For some reason though I stopped using it and bought another (Rabbit) unit, which only has AV inputs. That was years ago, so not sure why I switched. I use the Rabbit unit now to transmit the output from a receiver to a kitchen TV. There is quite a bit of interference, but it suits the purpose, which is mainly watching the news with a still better than OTA picture.

I think it would be more likely in the future to have a small receiver (or at least the part that decodes the signal) to be at the dish then transmit the information wirelessly to another small decoder or device that picks up that wireless tv signal than it would be for the signal itself to be transmitted wirelessly.

What do you guys think about using the one with AV inputs and splitting my AV outputs coming out of my reciever do you think I willl loose that much quality?

I split the A/V on my 2700, one set goes into A/V Pro Logic receiver and TV and the other goes to VCR, I can not tell the difference from what it was before I split it. If you want to spend a little more money you can also get an A/V amp which should take care of any losses, however I do not believe it would be necessary.

It depends on what you are connecting them to. Sometime some devices "load" the output of your satellite receiver too much and the picture looks dark on both devices. A way around that is to get an audio/video distribution amp. I am using a six port (they make them in two and four ports too) and they work extremely well (one of my cable runs is over 75 feet and RF looked like crap). My amps are left/right audio and composite video but they are available for s-video too if that is what you want to split and run to your second (or third) location. I got mine at http://www.mcmelectronics.com but there are lots of other places that sell them too.
