Not sure

But what's the deal with Florida. Anyone know why I get taxed twice (6% x 2 = %12) I've been just kinda ignoring it, but would be nice to know

Florida is 13.17%

10.8%=Communications Services Tax
+2.37%=Gross Receipts Tax
----
13.17%

Oh I figured the tax was that figure but I wasn't sure what it was, I just assumed it was a double tax, cause that would be 12%.

So what's up with this tax, I guess it's not considered a Satellite Tax because all communications get charged this?

I used to live in Martinsburg WV and i still have some friends that live there and have D and we were talking about this and he does not get tax from D its not on his bill . He has the same programing that I do .
1 more thing I do not get tax here in GA .Its the law. Now they can tax you if you are renting the equipment from them but only on the Equipment , thats how it is here.

Just got an e-mail back from state tax office in West Virginia.Sat tax rate is 6%.
Half of Florida's rate.
You got to respect a goverment office that responds to a question on a e-mail in one day.

Again do what charlie ergien said. If youre unhappy with the democrats putting satelite tax VOTE EM OUT!!! You must vote republican straght down the line to clean up your state and this nation. So there are some conservative democrats but they cannot vote with the republicans because of their party committees. Heres how it works,Suppose your candidate promises you everything hes gonna do. But when he gets into office he`s gonna vote what his party tells him what to vote on and what not to vote on because the party will give him campaign money for his re-election. If your candidate go ahead and vote their way the party committee will not give your candidate re-election campaign money. So you must vote republican straight down the line if you wanna change things.

The only thing I have noticed was the 6% W.V. sales tax on the satellite bills. There was no additional tax. Everyone tells me that W.V. taxes everyone to death so I would not be surprised at all if they ended up putting an additional tax on satellite in the future.

Well Bob Wise is not running again since he had an affair on his wife with another woman that was already married in which her husband said that he would run against Bob Wise for governor and that caused Bob Wise to not run again.
