I would like to invest in a Dish network 921 PVR, but I'm getting all sort of conflicting installation information. I would like to know if I need extra equipment to install a 921 receiver without running a second line from the Dish? I currently have a dish 500 with dual DP LNBs and a DP34 switch. Will the DPP separator work with the DP34 switch? or do I need to upgrade to a DP44 switch. How about the SuperDish, do I need that for HD programming?

You do not presently need a SuperDish for HD programming, although this is (like anything) subject to possible change. At some point in the future, it may be the case that Dish moves the HD channels to 105 due to a space shortage on 110. In this case, a SuperDish would be needed.
You cannot use the DPP separator with a DP-34. If you want to use this device, you must get a DPP-44 instead. Hence, if you are intending to do an installation without running an additional line, you would have to replace your switch.
