I have two 35 hr Hughes DVRs and had two questiosn:

1) I went to GUIDE and almost every show is "Title Not Available" - what could be the reason for that?

2) Do the TIVO codes/short cuts that begin with "Clear" work with DTIVO - I tried some but they didn't work - like the code for the correction the TIVO does when I forward or rewind a show and TIVO takes it back or moves it forward by about 5-10 sec. Is there any other way to correct it?

Thanks.

1) Try a reboot.

2) The "clear" codes may or may not work depending on what model you have and what version of software it's running. I tried that code with my T60 and got nothing. The only ones I can get to work are the Select ones and SORT.

A reboot should fix the guide problem. I also have had no luck with the Clear codes on my Series 2 DTiVos. The correction code is the one I wish would work, not a major issue, but I would like to disable it.

Although you can't disable the correction code when doing 2 or 3 FF you can do the equivalent by using the pause button instead of play. This stops it right there and then hit play.

I know this may be a stupid question but how do you reboot the TIVO. With Dish I would turn it off and then on - as TIVO doesn't turn off - how do you do it?

Thanks.

Go to DirecTV Central-> Messages & Setup-> Restart or Reset System-> Restart the Recorder. Or just unplug the TiVo and plug it back in.

No satellite receiver really turns off. It appears that you turn a Dish receiver off by pressing the Power button, but all you are doing is putting it in Stand By. When a satellite receiver is unplugged that is the only time it's technically off.

Thanks - that worked.

Also, one more thing - after I rebooted now my DTIVO remote's "Live TV" button brings up the GUIDE instead of going to live mode - is there any reason for that?

Day by day I'm finding issues with TIVO.

Thanks!
