Half a dead DTivo?

Nevermind...Got it working after switching cables and reconnecting it. No idea which one was bad but all are working now...very strange.

My son was watching a recorded show tonight and when he switched back to live tv there was no signal. Info screen shows account closed so I panicked and first question to D* was what's up with my account. Nothing they said it is fine and current. So I ask about the signal issue and he has me reboot the Tivo to no avail and then switch the cables from A to B and B to A and reboot again...nothing this time either. My other receiver is fine and working so I will try to hook the Tivo up to that single cable and see what happens.

My question is this...How can everything BUT the live tv work on the tivo? This is my second one in a year and a half. First one from 4/03-11/03 and this one from 11/03-now. It is a Hughes series2. I have had a few other strange things in the last month. Couldn't call home for 2 weeks in July and had to force the call and over the last 3 days it keeps dropping the S-P-S-30-S code.

Any help would be appreciated.

Although your initial problems seem to be fixed, the SPS30S code is getting reset because your unit is restarting or rebooting. Possibly because of a power glitch. I'd get a UPS for that unit.
