Anyone know if Dish will be adding CSTV (College Sports Television) to their lineup?
I think this would be a great addition. NFL Sunday Ticket wouldn't hurt either. With the new 105 going up, I'd make those a great suggestion. Think of it, Dish, more revenue!!! :)

and probably always will be in the DBS satellite market since Voom doesn't have the money to bid on it, and Dish thinks it's way too expensive. Not to mention, it seems like MOST of the market that Dish would get with Sunday Ticket has already gone to DirecTV.

However, CSTV would be a nice addition. This would be about the best time of the year to add it. When there is no live content it sort of reminds one of ESPN Classic. Why not? The channel was created by the same people who created ESPN Classic.

Of course, I have no particular need for it to be added to DISH Network since I get it from DirecTV, but it would be nice for those who subscribe to DISH Network to have it.

I would prefer having the NFL channel, not to be confused with NFLST.

The Mountain West Conference is going exclusive with CSTV in 2006 (I believe)....so it would be nice to have the network on DISH by then.

CSTV also provides coverage of the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming every year.

Isn't ESPN getting ready to launch a College Sports Network as well? I think in March with ESPN 2 HD. Might as well, how many games does ESPN Plus+ broadcast each week? Big XII has some women's sports going to CSTV this basketball season as well. I wouldn't mind it either, instead of the god-aweful Altitude Sports!!!!1

College sports initiative to launch in March 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Associated Press

ESPN will launch a new multimedia college sports initiative in March 2005 that includes a new 24-hour television network and content from ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine.

ESPNU will also include information from ESPN Radio, ESPN Mobile (wireless) and ESPN Broadband, George Bodenheimer, the president of ESPN and ABC Sports, said in making the announcement Tuesday.

Tuesday was also the 25th anniversary of the launch of ESPN.

"The college sports fan and ESPN have built a passionate bond that's 25 years strong," Bodenheimer said. "ESPNU will offer a broad variety of ESPN-branded college product across all of our entities, which will enhance our relationship with fans and colleges, and provide value to our affiliates and advertisers."

The highest-profile facet of the new initiative will be the ESPNU television network, which will carry approximately 300 games live -- primarily Division I football and men's and women's basketball -- in the first year. The network will also cover baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, hockey, wrestling, spring football and select high school football games.

It will also carry regular-season and NCAA championships, along with replays of games on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and the company's regional networks.

Also Tuesday, ESPN announced that ESPN2 HD, the company's second high-definition service, will launch in January.

North Dakota vs Maine last friday night, I was there but it would have been nice to see the replay of the incident that led to the winning penalty shot. I thought E* would have it by now  I guess i should have switched to D* :p

Apparently CSTV has been up on the E* satellite for over a month, but not yet made available to subs. Who knows if or when we will actually get it.
