Thsi Is a Hughes SD40 and its less than a week old. Come home this evening and it was on powering up screen. I waited like 30 minutes then I upluged it and after about 5 min pluged it back in and it was the same screen. It isnt hot, no noise or anything. Could the hard drive be gone already. Called Tech support and they said if I unpluged it and it still didnt help then there was nothing else they could do. Is there a fix or is it Dead???

The fact that you didn't initiate the initial re-boot you mentioned could be a bad sign.........but I'd try the unplug...wait 15 minutes....plug in unit routine again......

I left it unpluged over night and powered it up again this morning its been on for over an hour and its the same the "Welcome Powering UP" So I guess its dead. Cant believe it died less than a week. Im going to get in touch with Circuit City and send it back for a replacement.
