Any News On Office 2004 (For Windows)?

Is there any news from Microsoft on Office 2004 for Windows? I see it is already out for Mac, but when does it come out for Windows? Or when have they done it in the past? possibly a regular date or month, when they release it? (I hate that Microsoft always releases Office almost a year behind!)

It won't. There will be Office 2005 for Windows most likely. Just as there was no 2003 for Mac. So at any one time either Mac or Windows will be about a year ahead of the other. You'll like some of the new features in 2004 - especially word notebook. I love it!

Going back to my memory of past Office suits, they closest thing Microsoft ever did releasing both Windows and Mac versions in the same year was Office 97/98. For Windows the main Office applications and suites were released in '97, Mac in '98, but for Windows the standalone applications like Front Page and Project they were released in 98.

I would doubt there will be another Offce suite until '06, or after Longhorn comes out.
