Change in Video Setting on the HD10-250

Quick question:

When I change from a HD channel to a SD channel do I have to manually change the video setting on the receiver from 1080 to 480?

My Sony HD300 does this automatically through a variable setting...........this is preferred so that SD stations viewed in 1080 aren't cut at the sides............

There is no automatic changing of video output resolution with the HR10-250; if you want the output to be 480i/480p when tuned to an SD channel, you have to get it there manually using the up-arrow button.

It was rumored when the HR10-250 was first shipping that there would be a backdoor code to turn on some sort of automatic support for this sort of thing, but so far no new software releases have happened.
