1) Have you ever visited Oakland? The genteel patrons of the cheap seats must be experienced to be believed.

2) "These pro athletes"? One guy snapped. Any given season, I'm sure dozens of players think about it, then do the right thing and take the abuse.

I'm sure Francisco's going to learn exactly how expensive his outburst will be. And it will teach him what we tell our kids: Chairs are not for throwing. :)

As for whether or not to charge Francisco with the more serious felony charge(last I heard the D.A. was pondering which level of charges to seek against Francisco)... all you have to do is realize exactly what a fan would be charged with if the fan had been the one who tossed a chair at a player causing bodily injury... without a doubt, a felony charge would be brought.

Prosecute him for the felony. Convict him and let him get whatever a similar bar fight or such like in NoCal gets.

This guy is a Dominican, so a felony gets him deported, right?

As to baseball, ban him, tonight, for the rest of the year and the first 81 games of next year, fine him the max.

The trial lawyers will sue him, both teams, many other players, the stadium, the cops, the chair manufacturer, etc. Big $$$$.

The victim's husband was on TV. Looked like a clean cut NoCal office working type. Even better for the $$$$$$$$$.
