View Full Version : Configuring AVG EMail scanner for Thunderbird

I am unsure how to get the email scanner in AVG to work with Thunderbird the Mozilla email client. Can anyone help?

if its free avg thunderbird is not suppurted but it is in the full http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/FAQ/lng/us/tpl/v5/nid/590#532

It is not the free version but I know it can be made to work with either one. Just not sure how.

Understood kwajr. But I had it working with the free version before. I simply had a problem and had to reinstall both apps. But I apprecaite your help.

I think that I figured out what I was doing wrong. I can provide answers to others if interested. As for the free version you might try this link. It will take you to an AVG site. They will send instructions. The Mozilla instructions will work for Thunderbird. The plug in basically does all this for you. But you can configure it to work with other email programs. Though as I learned it can be tricky.
