What is the hold up for Fox-HD? News Corporation owns Directv now right? They own WNYW Fox 5 New York and KTTV Fox 11 Los Angeles, so I'd think putting them on wouldn't take much to do.

I'm no corporate law expert but I'm sure there are MANY details that have to be worked out for D* to add a network to it's channel list even if they share a parent company. If it's anything like the industry I spent 15 years in, having a parent company can make the process easier, but that doesn't mean that they can share resources whenever they like. (Directv can't advertise for free on Fox just because the have the same parent company, for example.)

I would think that there would be many issues to resolve ranging from commercials to affiliate relations. Plus correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Fox has much HD programming at this time.

I'm not sure they do either. Some have mentioned ABC in HD for Monday Night Football, but other than that I can't think of any ABC primetime shows I actually watch anyway.

Fox has infinitely more HD content now than they did in August!

Roughly one-third of their primetime programming is now HD.

The clincher for me is that their sports will now be HD. Almost all of football and we are hoping the MLB palyoffs as well.
