Selling a Tivo question

We have a 35 hour Tivo we'd like to sell. Does the person we sell it to have to get a new access card for it or are they built in? If so, how much does it cost for a new card?

OR could they just use one from their regular receiver and put in the Tivo one for their account?

In the past I have had CSR's say you couldn't use the card in a different receiver, but then others have allowed me to move the card to a different receiver, so I wasn't sure
