I thought I was fairly adept at installing sat dishes, then I met a Superdish and after a complete day of frustration I am seeking help. I have followed the instructions to the letter with no success, I know my mounting pole is plumb, I have a clear line of sight, but thought that i would ask. I have connected to the outermost lnb which should get me 110, but I am getting 119, connecting to the other lnb's provide no signal.
!. How can I be sure that I have he 121 version
2. Does the shroud have to be in place to get a signal
If anyone could share their experience i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Bob

Does your manual have pictures of both versions? 121 has the outboard (110) on the left side, the 105 has the outboard (119) on the right. Left & right are defined as if you are standing behind the LNBFs, looking at the reflector face.
If you determine you have a 121 SD, the answer is obvious - the other 2 LNBFs are pointing at 128 & 130, and there's nothing there. You're simply 9 degrees off to the west. Give 'er a spin. :)

The outermost LNB for the 121 SuperDish is 110. Peak using the outermost LNB with your meter or receiver connected to port 1 on this LNB. You checked your skew correct? give me your zip and I can reference this.
Here's what 121 looks like...http://www.dbstalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2449&stc=1
Here's what 105 looks like...http://www.dbstalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2450&stc=1
Notice the outrigger (Stand alone LNBF) assignment (110 for 121) and (119 for 105).

Thanks for the replies
From the explanations above and the manual I have the 121, what I am not clear on is when I am connected to the 110 I am getting 119 so my aim must be off, the manual says to lock on to 110 first and adjust elevation no more than 1 degree to get 121. Can I get 121 with the shroud off, I have left it off for the convenience of swapping cables. I will be back at it tomorrow, I am determined to win this battle.

Remember what Magellan said..."Those that are the most sucessful have also experienced the most failures, There are those who work within the the quo, then there are the champions."
I have nver tried to point a dish without the shroud...but I see BUD dishes that operate without the shroud so I would venture a guess that it would work. Your first couple attempts to setup a SuperDish will be frustrating...many of us have already felt your pain. Just remember that funky looking skew angle. Without walking outside I'd have to say 110 is the lowest of the 3.
Good luck,
Jason

I want to thank everyone for the replies, I went outside today, loosened the bolt, moved the dish slightly towards the west and locked on almost instantly, after spending a whole day with no success, today was the charm.
