I may have a bug.

When my ZA (free version) attempts to do an auto-check for updates, it blocks itself. The alert message doesn't give a 'pass/block' option, just a "click OK" which simply closes the alert window. Also, for all programs, the Server/Internet "Allow/Block/Ask" option is set to "Allow" (green checkmark) and I am unable to change it to another setting for any program.

Also, Adaware no longer runs from its desktop shortcut, and something called "screenweaver" is trying to access the net, but ZA block it until yesterday. Screenweaver is not listed as an application in the ZA programs listing, not is it listed in the Add/Remove software utility.

I use AVG and scanned just yesterday with the latest update.

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

Sounds like you have been hit with something. Some of the known nasties will disable ZA and adaware. Can you go under the programs portion of ZA and allow ZA to do whatever it wants ? then try update. I did a search, there is a new Flash product called screenweaver but no mention of it being spyware. Try getting spybot S&D , run that through,, also go to the program folder for adaware and create yourself a new desktop. I run both twice a week and also ZAP . Get SP2 if you can,, I have had no problems with it and FireFox runs great with it too.
