I recently got a used HDVR2 free from a friend who upgraded to HDTivo. He recommended I go through the "Clear and Delete Everything" procedure in the manual to ensure his information was removed and I was starting with a clean slate. According to the manual it "may take over an hour" and the screen says it "will take an hour." Well, I've run it for 10, 3, and 20 hour intervals with resets in-between but it has never finished. Is it normal to take 20+ hours for a reset? When I call DirecTV they said just keep letting it go and it will eventually work, that was at 10 hours. Any suggestions?
