Who has the best ocr software available that will work with full MS Office suite and at the best price?
I have used OmniPage(Pro) in one form or another since 1990. I am pleased with the results

Same here. OmniPage is regularly updated and easy to run with many options.

Thanks guys, I think that is one of the ones we are considering at my new job. So far I have down loaded several Free samples to give us an idea of ease of use, since it will be used mostly by others. Is Omnipage easy to use even for non tech people?
Chris, I find it very easy to use. When you scan documents, it will highlight parts it cannot understand (one at a time), allowing the user to put in the right word or characters. It then learns from this manual input and if the combination occurs agains it recognizes the pattern correctly. This is great for typeset docs where the printer may run letters like "fl" together. I haven't used any other OCR software for several years - I haven't needed to do so - so I don't know how the recent competition to OmniPage may stack up. But OmniPage has met all my OCR needs. I scan a lot of medical journals which have Greek ( alpha, beta, etc.) characters and symbols.
