Sorry if the info is already posted, but I tried the search and didn't come up with anything.

What's the difference in cards? What does the color mean?

What's the difference in cards? What does the color mean?Seeing DISH is replacing Blue Cards with Yellow cards I assume the question applies to that swap out. The difference in cards is if you don't have a yellow card when they turn off the data stream to the blue cards you won't be watching DISH Network. Real simple. :)

That's what I thought...the interesting thing was when I posted a receiver for sale (here) I had one person interested who contacted me about the card. As soon as they found out I had a yellow card they said they were no longer interested....the card color was their main concern.

Jeez, I am a Dish subscriber and had no clue about the swapout. Have been a customer for 2 1/2 years.

I am sure that most people do not know about the card swapout and will not know until they get their new card in the mail.

Yellow Cards = Nagra 2
White/Blue Cards = Nagra 1

It's a waterfall in upstate NY, where newlyweds go to honeymoon.

Nagravision is a type of encryption. DVDs use a differnt type. And the reason they wanted the blue card is because it is more hackable. Darn pirates. Don't sell just a card, and get a receipt to CYA.
