Safe Mode

What exactly is "safe mode." I found I was in safe mode when I tried to PIP. How did I get into safe mode? How do I get out of safe mode?

Safe Mode: Hold output button until both SD & HD led's light you are in safe mode outputing 480i over s-video and composits & 480p out of the HD out (component or DVI)

So, the answer should be to just hit the HD/SD button a couple of times, yes?

You have to hold the output button down on the front of the receiver till you see both lights ( blue and yellow), light up. Then your tv will be in 480p on one and 480i on the other one you have it hooked up to. I use this to watch tv in my computer room behind my living room where my hd tv is.

Yes, just press the SD/HD button again to exit this mode.
