History refresher...

First there was DBSDish and it was good. The original owner sold to a satellite dish dealer and all was well for a little while.
DBSDish.... was killed by the second owners after a spat with the original owner and then administrator. The orignal owner and some regulars there got together to form their own place...
During a two or three week period most poster gathered at the Echostaruser.org web site (most of which is the EKB on DBSTalk now). until the new site could be erected.

DBSForums was born. The temporary forum at the EUO was removed after a brief trasition period.

Later, Some regulars at DBSForums thought the atmosphere too restrictive and slpit off to form DBSTalk. All was well.

A little over a year ago, an admin at DBSTalk and the rest of the staff including the owner of DBSTalk did not see eye to eye. That admin left (voluntarily or not) to form satelliteguys.us

All three sites have quite a bit to recommend them and many of us frequent all three.

It seems like everytime someone starts up a new forum and does things good enough with the forum then it gets more members than the previous new forum. I however do think that we have reached a point to where it will not happen again (unless Dish or Direct starts their own and advertises it a bit).
