Though I subscribe to DirecTV, I recently went inside a local Comcast office to pick up the TV Guide Comcast programming guide. I was able to do this when I visited a relative in Fort Collins, Colorado, this past summer. Surprisingly to me, I couldn't pick up one at my local Comcast -- I'm part of the Detroit area -- because no longer are printed programming guides available from Comcast/TV Guide for subscribers.
Do you think this is going to become a trend? That subscribers of DirecTV and Dish Network will also find that printed programming guides will become obsolete? Like as viewers no longer use them, and would prefer to have an interactive menu guide that can be navigated, a la DirecTV, Dish Network and the digital-cable level of whoever one's cable television provider?
Comments are welcomed :)!
