My 921 has worked pretty well since I received it. It was one of the first units released after the QC hold. It's been running L188 since it was spooled.
2 days ago all timers stopped firing. I use only single event timers set daily from the program guide. The timer menu and program guide seem to indicate a recording in progress, but the RED light doesn't come on and there is no recording made.
I've power cord rebooted several time and even set the 921 back to factory defaults to try starting over. Nothing has helped.
BUT.... Tonite I set a timer for a 1 hour show at 9pm (1 min early start), had it on the correct channel (Dallas CBS 8402), and just sat and watched. The timer DID NOT fire.... SO.... At about 9:01, I manually pressed RECORD... It immediately started recording (red light) with no options screen AND it automatically stopped recording on time at 10:03. I'm going to try the same thing again later.
Does this sound like a bug or maybe a hardware failure.... ? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.... :confused:
