Trouble watching ota while recording SD

I'm getting frustrated by my new 921. Yesterday I set a timers to record the NLCS from the Fox local over the satellite and the Broncos vs Raiders on the CBS local over the satellite. While both were running and viewing one (don't remember which) I tried to tune to the CBS OTA. I got an error message stating SAT 1 and SAT 2 were both in use, and could only choose to view one or the other.

This is state 15 of Mark's "Stop Recording" testing.

What am I doing wrong?

Only 2 live streams can be handled at once. The way to switch between them (in your case, as both were recording) is to enter the DVR menu, select the recording event and then press the View button.

I could watch either of the recording events. I wanted to watch an OTA that was not recording.

What do you mean "Only 2 live streams can be handled at once"? Does this mean if I switched from watching (live) one of the events I was recording, and began watching the other recording event (which would then be delayed), I could then tune to the OTA channel?

The 921 can only use two of its three tuners at the same time. Since you were using the two satellite tuners to record you cannot watch anything on the OTA tuner.

Correct. With 2 of the 3 tuners recording, you can only watch one of the 2 recording shows, or watch a show that you have already recorded. You cannot watch a 3rd "live" show.
