Hello,
It seems to me that the skip ahead button was around 30 seconds on the 508, but on the 921, it seems to be less?
Is this real or imagined? If real, is it by design, or a bug?
Thanks.

Depends on the material. I have timed around 30 seconds on SD and 1080i but less on 720p material.

This is a known issue - been discussed here before. The time DOES vary according to SD vs. HD vs. who knows what.

It is particularly noticable on football. I was able to watch a game in about an hour by hitting the skip button on my 501 every time a play was whistled dead. It would take me forward to the start of the next play, with the QB just coming up to the line. In HD at 720p (i.e. Fox), I have to hit it twice to skip that much.

I noticed it during football also.
Skip forward 27 seconds, skip back 9 seconds, at least according to the game clock.
Non HD game.
