Is there a link between Radio Maria (a religious broadcaster) leaving the air and Dish's dispute with Sky Angel? What's your opinion and comments?

I would be surprised, because SA has never mentioned it, and I'm sure they would if they felt RM was a violation. I don't know if the contract between Dish and SA applies to only English-language programming or not.

I would also have thought that SA would have said something before now, since RM was previously carried for quite a long time. Also if that was the only reason for RM to leave, Dish surely would have kept it on as long as they did, for example, FamilyNet, or Daystar. And RM was removed before either of them (IIRC).

It's also possible that at one point, SA may have even "given its blessing" to the addition of Radio Maria, since it was foreign language and presumably not of interest to SA for carriage on their own service at that time.

Honestly, you might email Sky Angel and ask; one of their representatives seems to stop by this forum on occasion as well.
