MTV2 program info

Why does the programming info for this channel never change? It perminantly reads "Music Videos". There's other things on MTV2 that aren't just plain music videos - there's Control Freak, MTV2 Rock, and Unplugged, just to name a few. DirecTV has all the correct program info for this channel but Dish NEVER changes theirs. The same thing goes for VH-1 Classic. Is there a reason for this or is it just because Dish is really lazy?

Yeah, I wish E* would add the programming info for MTV2. I dont know the bonehead reason why they dont though.

Does MTV Provide them the info??? It could be the case that MTV doesnt provide the info for the channel so hinse E* shows just Music Videos...

They provide the info to DirecTV. I don't see why they wouldn't provide it to Dish. I think this is laziness on Dish's part. Yeah, well maybe I'll be lazy when it comes to recommending people to Dish. :(

just was curious cauz my local cable co I beleive just shows "music video" in the EPG on their system.. I dont have D* so I wasnt sure what D* did..

Dishplayer has the listings for MTV2 and VH1CL.

Dish doesn't make up the programming data, It comes from an outside source.

The Dishplayer gets it from a different source that the rest of the e* receivers where I believe it comes from tribune.
