It sucks that being able to delete your own posts has been disabled on this board. I answered my own question so I thought I would be courteous and delete this post, but noooooooo I am not allowed.

I am under the impression that the first post in a thread can not be deleted - probably becasue it would screw up the database.
The following is FALSE - I just tested it.
It might also be that posts other than the last cannot be deleted - because that would change the relative number of the other posts.

vBulletin allows both, so it's just the settings on this board.

You can delete you posts if they aren't the first post in a thread.
