My 721 did something unusual on Wednesday night - its displayed clock stuck at 6:50 p. m. I had a timer running, which shut off at 7:03 as it should have, but the clock still displayed as 6:50, both in the "View" banner at the top of the screen and in the guide page. At about 7:13 or so, the clock suddenly began reading the correct time ...
I'm puzzled, though - I read another 721 thread where folks talk about having to reset their 721 every few days, or recommend resets to those having problems. My 721 reboots at 4 a. m. every day, and has done so for quite some time. (And I really mean reboot, too - I've turned on the TV and watched it go through the bootup sequence. Of course, I should point out that I'm only presuming that it happens every day, based on the observation that it reboots every 4 a. m. that I'm there to watch it do so.) How do you folks go for weeks or months without a reset?
OTOH, my 721 is normally very solid, though I've noticed, since the last software upgrade, about 3 bugs I've never seen before. So maybe I should be happy for the nightly reboots!
