I have had a 522 for almost a year now. I just hooked up a 721 I have had for at least that long but have never installed.
HOLY COW, the 721's speed around the guide, menus, etc, is amazing when compared to the 522! What gives? For some reason I thought the 522 was based on the same hardware and software as the 721, just with dual tuner outputs. Boy was I wrong.
Another note: looks like I picked the wrong time to install the 721. Apparently the latest software update did some harm? :) As a 522 user, I know all about the FUN of software updates.
