Also looks like at least one hidden surprise! The caller ID on my 721 with 174 has changed. It used to be a transparent banner at the top of the screen similar to the program banner. Now it's this massive turquoise box with yellow letters smack dab in the middle of the screen. I think the older one was much better as it did not interfere with watching TV, and it would go away after a few seconds. I saw this thing this morning, so I picked up the remote and hit select to clear it off becauase it covers up most of the picture. I don't know how long it would have stayed on, but I'll investigate when I get home from work tonight unless someone else wants to do it.
Two calls made from within the house, one on a second line the other on a cell phone have produced the original caller ID pop-up. I'll keep an eye on things and post results here.
Maybe I'm being stupid, but...where are the release notes? How can I see them?
Thanks,
Aaron

Aaron,
Fix for the system time and timer issues for 721's using the yellow smartcard is the release note for version 174. Sometimes software updates fix only one bug.
P.S. Thanks to Mark for getting and posting this information.

Chris,
Your link sends me to the wrong page. Bob's post is on page one for me.
Just some thin you need to watch out for. (some users, "me" prefer maximum posts per page) I hate changing pages when trying to read a thread.

Sluggo,
Are you sure that you weren't in the guide or maybe some other screen when you saw the caller id in the middle of the screen because that's what mine has always done on that occasion.

Nope, I was watching Fox & Friends this morning over a cup of coffee before I headed out to work. But, when I get home, I'll call one number from the other while I have the guide up and see what happens then. Like I said earlier after that one time...all was normal.
