View Full Version : Adding a 921 as a 4th receiver
I currently have 4 receivers, 510, 508, 501, 5000. Just bought an HD TV. Thinking about replacing the 5000 with a 921. According to Dish, if I purchase from them and pay a $119.00 existing customer installation fee, they will install everything I need to get the 3 receivers and the dual tuner working on the 921. In my case, I need to get my LNBs replaced ( I don't have a quad ) , replace my sw64 with a dp34 switch, and add a dishpro splitter. I'm assuming $119.00 is cheaper than buying the Dishpro equipment online and installing myself?

Is Dish selling the 921 direct yet?

You'll need your LNBs swapped out to DishPro ones, you'll need your SW64 replaced with a DPP44 switch (not a DP34), and you'll need a DishPro separator.
Thanks. I looked at the prices for this hardware on dishdepot. Looks like it'll be cheaper if I go the $119 install fee route. Now I need to see if I can get a 921 from DishNetwork for $549.

Confirm with them that 119 existing customer install fee will cover the switch gear and LNB's. My understanding you have to pay for the equipment in addition to the install.

Mark,
I have (1) 721; (3) 6000's; (1) 501; and would add a 921-for a total of (8) ports.
If I have (2) cascaded SW64's and a total of 8-ports, with my 501 and a 6000 as the "power" line to each SW64, can I add a 921 to any (2) other SW 64 ports?
