I would not expect any movement on the National HD feeds until the SHIVA stuff is finished by Congress.

Who knows? But, keep an eye on this thread on the AVS forum.

The last post is a bit old, but hopefully will be replied to when the time comes.

Does Fox have any HD other than on Sunday?

What is the problem on getting it added full-time anyway if NBC and CBS have? It is ridiculous as usual.

Guess you guys missed all the threads a few weeks ago. Fox HD was supposed to be up but Dish threatened legal action for some reason. So it's in the courts now. Technicaly FOX-HD has been uplinked and broadcasting for a while, as anyone with an engineering card can tell you.

I don't see why Dish and Directv can't both add WNYW (Fox New York)'s HD signal and KTTV (Fox LA)'s as well when both services are already carrying WNYW and KTTV as Fox East and West.

It'd be different if they didn't already have the stations on their lineups but they do. So if either service wants to show the HD feed what is the big deal?????????

That's not been proven as fact. To date, No one has shown any kind of press release or news story confirming this story so in short it's a rumor.

There is no statutory consent to carry the DT stations. Therefore a deal must be negotiated.

Dish sure has gotten behind in their HD content, you'd think they would have already worked out deals for NBC, ABC, Fox, and PBS (as well as WB and UPN) DT stations.
For claiming to be the HDTV leader, they are falling behind. More people are interested in network programming in HD as well as sports more than anything else. They aren't interested in a bunch of cable networks in HD that they never watch the SD feeds of anyway.

According to my sources, all of the equipment is in place but since FOX and DTV
are under Murdoch, there is a lot of complaining going on in the industry. Basically, the contracts are getting a once over.

It would be nice to have Thanksgiving Day football in HD, even if it's a matchup of the Cowboys and Bears. Do you think there's any chance they would show the game like they did the World Series?
