Hi, I've just purchased a second dish 811 receiver off ebay to replace a 301 on my account. I have one 811 already, so I already subscribe to the HD pack and AT120. Anyone know offhand if there is any other charges or do I just need to call Dish and have them change my receiver in their system.

Is the HD pack per receiver or per account?

Thanks!

BTW I am aware the 811 doesn't use a card and did confirm the receiver is new and has no balance on it. I also saw some being sold cheap, but when contacting the seller they confirmed balances of $500+!

Just call Dish up and switch receivers. No charge. The HD pack is per account. I get HD on my 811 and 6000 no problem.

How much does E* charge you if you're a current sub. and want to replace a 301 with an 811 ?

As already noted above, there is no charge to simply deactivate one receiver and activate another receiver. Just make sure you have the new receiver hooked up, call Dish, and tell that which unit you are replacing with this new unit. They'll remove the one from your account, add the new one, and it'll be activated within 30 minutes.

If you're an existing subscriber, you'd have to call Dish and ask them if they have any current promotions, including promotions where you get a discounted rate in exchange for signing up for a year of programming, or for trading in an older unit which you already own.

Otherwise, you're looking at the standard $399 MSRP, or whatever discounted price you can get from a Dish retailer.

Well our cost is $350.00 straight from our distributor.
And we are only breaking even, so your better off finding a cheap one
on ebay without a balance.

I paid $149 to add a 811 to my 501 and 301. I agreed to a 1 year contract.
