Does this mean cable wont get the NFL ticket anytime soon? Or is it just exclusive on the sattellite level?

this tells you why Directv is NOT going to bat for you when it comes down to not getting the games, THAT YOU PAID FOR, each and every Sunday. Its all about Money, Money, money. and not about taking care of the "dumb customer." who cares because, we already have their money.

This statement is incorrect. Last year, Direct and the NFL agreed to show the CBS HD game without blackouts, meaning that these types of agreements were possible.
The NFL is not exactly the big bully on the block here. I should think Direct has as much clout as they do.
A little off topic - but I haven't been able to find the answer..
Who has the Super Bowl this year?
I'm hoping that whoever has it, Directv finds a way to show it in HD like NBC's Olympics (of course without the one day delay) or Fox's World Series...

Incorrect. CBS and CBS alone decided to not blackout the one and only HD game that was available for the NFL in an effort to promote the product to sell more HD sets. Also didn't hurt that DirecTV ponied up the money and sponsored the HD "game of the week". Whole different story this year and CBS isn't allowing it. The NFL doesn't have anything to do with it. CBS paid for the rights to the games and they can do as they see fit with those rights.
