View Full Version : Tonight missing the guide on the 921?

As now at 9:40pm PST my 921 has on all the channel that I checked the guide only for the next 2-3 hours so I can't set any timer anymore. Is this happening also to you guys or is it just me?
Today I had a short power outage for a few minutes. The 921 came back to life without any problem. I wondering though if I've lost the guide due to that. In this case how can I force the 921 to reload the guide?

Patience, grasshopper.

The guide should be back in the morning - make sure you shut down the box (green light off).

I assume you are saying that shutting it off from the remote control it's enough. Am I right? What is this due to?

Yes, for this, a remote shutoff is fine - green light off.

Overnight, the box should reboot itself, and download a fresh guide.

The only other way to shut it off (pulling the plug) wouldn't allow the guide to be downloaded.... :)

You can do a soft boot by depressing the power button on the 921 for several seconds.

I know that but I thought that could be that in some cases only a full reboot reloads the guide (once on again). I wouldn't be surprise if it was like that.

I have the same problem today--only about 2 hours EPG. Pulling the plug for a few seconds did not get the EPG back. Any other suggestions?

Reguest full reinstall of software.

I have had several cases of the first, and some people have had bad downloads of the software (strange screen settings, etc.) that don't get fixed until a new release of software.
