I now only have a total of 8 hours recording time available. Resetting the receiver several times didn't help. It's been acting a little flaky lately. A month ago a few of the buttons on the remote didn't work. The problem resolved itself after a few days. Thanks for any suggestions.

Do you still have DVR events saved on the receiver? If no, then it most likely has a corrupted HD possibly by a batch of bad sectors building. If this is the case, then it's time to swap out the unit.

I still have events recorded and it continues to record and play okay -- I just have that much less space.
