View Full Version : Long Channel Aquisition
My 921 now often flashes the acquiring signal screen when I scroll through channels. The channel eventually comes on but it seems to take longer than it used to. It also lags behind when I am scrolling, often putting up a channel I have scrolled past already. This seems to have gotten more pronounced here lately. Anybody else with this problem?

This happened to me for my OTA's. It turned out that my signals on some channels were too weak. When I would scroll, I would lose them or would get major pixelation. I just put a good in-line amplifier on my RG-6 and it boosted the signal strength enough to correct this annoying problem.

I have seen this to. For me it seems to happen when I tune to an OTA channel with little no signal strength. This situation seems to create problems for the 921 "SOMETIMES". I think it gets compounded by continuing to scroll to another OTA before an OTA channel is actually acquired. If the unit remains slow or unresponsive I would reccommend an "unplug reboot". Make sure to wait 3 minutes after unplugging until you plug it back in. From whats being said the next SW update may address this issue.

Actually it is to the dish channels. I realize the issues with OTA but this is with the dish feed which is why I was wondering.
