Last Sunday my TIVO stopped recording after 3 hours. Is there anyway to over ride ther set 3 Hours?

Any help will be appreciated.

I have a Phillips TIVO

Sporting events are difficult to guestimate at. Three hours is the standard allotted time for most sports, but quite often they run over the thee hour period. In the Recording Options change the Stop Recording option from On Time to something greater. 30 minutes more should be fine, maybe an hour just incase the game goes practically the whole OT period or if there’s a few major injuries.

My 921 only lets me pad by 29 minutes.

I get around this by setting a manual timer for 4.5 hours on the channel I want to record.....

I always pad a baseball game by 90 minutes in case it goes into extra innings. I suspect that 60 minutes should cover most football games.

I usually just record the next show or two after the game.

I usually just record the next show or two after the game. I would do that but that would mean I'd have to set two recordings instead of one. Which would mean waiting (and waiting) for two recording confirmations. :nono2:

Bad solution as it would require you to remember what the following program is, or to set the recording by time (which is not very TiVo-like). Simply set the Stop time to 30 or 60 min late, and enjoy.
