Could I use the DP34 switch? And how would I hook it up? I have 2 dishs 1 for the 119 & 110 and 1 for 61.5 The 119/110 is a DP twin LNB. The 61.5 is a sgl. My setup in the back of the house looks like I have 2 dp21 switchs going to the 61.5 and the other cables from the switch going to the 119/110. Then from the from the DP21's 2 cables go into the house to my 921. So the setup I have now. Could I get a DP34 and hook the 2 cables that I have going the house to my 921 put on to the DP34 and have both my 921 & 721? Thank for your help.:)

Just wanted to tell everone that help me on how to hook it up. I was going to have E* do it but I did it myself:) Thank You

No, with the DP34, you'd need to run 2 more cables from the switch to your 721 location - the 921 and 721 both require 2 satellite cables.

But, you could use the DPP44 switch, along with 2 DishPro Separators - one line from the DPP44 switch to your 921, and the other to your 721, with the separators on both ends to feet both tuners in each box. More expensive option, but it saves you from having to run 2 more satellite lines from outside.

Thank for your help.:)Yes to using a DP-34 to combine your existing dishes. From the DP-34 you will need four cables two for the 921 two for the 721. If you don't want to run the 4 cables you can go with Dish Pro Plus 4 X 4 switch and use a separator on each receiver but these are expensive and in short supply. :)

One other option.

In about two weeks (so I'm told) the DishProPlus Duel LNB will be available. This would replace the LNB that you have on your 110/119 Sat. You can connect the 61.5 sat into this DPP LNB. It has a DPP switch built into it.

Then you just use the the existing two cables (one to the 921, the other to the 721) and separate using the DPP separator.

This would save you from the $200 DPP44 switch purchase. I at least hope that the DPP LNB will be less than that.

Read more here (http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=15391&highlight=DPP+Twin+LNB). Anyone let me know if I have anything wrong here, since this is what I am planning on doing.

I just seen on the link below that there is no dp21 switchs. do i just hookup the 2 cables from the 21's to the dp34 since both sats go in to the dp21. not like the link below where all the cables go intio the dp34. thanks

I'm pretty sure that you omit the DP21s all together. The DP34 takes their place. You just connect the LNBs to the DP43 and from there go to the receivers.

Do i have to get rid of the 21? Mark didn't say anything about doing that. mark, can i still keep the dp21's on and still hook the the dp34 on?

As Cyclone said, you do not need the DP21s at all. No reason for them, no place to put them. DP34 has inputs for 3 birds (2 from the D500, one from the D300), and outputs for 4 tuners (2 for the 721, 2 for the 921).

BTW, your D300 doesn't have a Single, it has a Dual, and it's 2 outputs go to each of your 2 DP21's.

You must remove the DP21s for your DP34 to work properly. Merely barrel the 2 cables from the D500 into the 2 existing lines and run a new line from the D300 into the house. Then run all 3 lines into the DP34. Make sure that all 3 lines are properly grounded by using grounding blocks or at least grounding the switch. You must run 3 lines from the dishes to the DP34. No way around it. Remove the DP21s.

Thats a lot to do and i wouldn't know what to do. I'm going to try to get E* to do it. they did it before when i had tuner problems with the 721 and put new LNB's and the 21's and rewired the back. plus when i do a switch check i get 4 or 5 error messages saying the setup is not right.
