I notice on my 921 guide there are two HD channels for HBO and Showtime. That seems like a waste of bandwidth that could be used for two other HD channels.

Is one channel better than the other in terms of HD quality?

Unless things changed since yesterday, Dish only carries HBO HD East and Showtime HD East.

I bet you have a dish pointed at 148....

They also have HBO and Showtime there. They never removed so, wa-la two channels. The bitrate on 148 is slightly higher because there's only two channels, so you might want to watch them on there.

148 and 61.5 used to be the home for HD... I try to watch on 148 also...

Shame that they don't just put the west coast feeds of HBO-HD and SHO-HD on 148.

I'm sure all the west coasters would appreciate it. Heck ppl from the east coast would be knocking themselves over trying to get 148.

Get with the program. As Charlie (or was it Jim?) has so eloquently said, "That's what PVR's are for". Why provide a timeshift, when you can duplicate two perfectly good channels and drive sales of the 921?
