Was over at the Dish Network Tech Site that shows Firmware upgrades and it appears as if there was a major update that went into the stream in the last week or two.
Does anyone know what is in this new update?

It started rolling out last week. I didn't post anything about it because there's really nothing hugely exciting about it.

Mark,
What is in the update? I will probably take it over night. I know 797 --> 798 was another Switch Layout for the Superdish (ALT config in the Check Switch Screen)

The only change that I know about is a change to the frequency the 2700/2800/3700 receivers will call out to report PPV purchases.

So maybe I should refuse the update :-)
lol
I was just wondering because it was such a large jump in software version and I know for the 811s, you guys get A LOT of information on what is in the updates...

What is the ALT config for and what does it do? I heard that it is for the RV'ers.

Honestly, I don't know.
I figured maybe it allowed up to 5 Dishes or something, never heard though...

Basically, it's no jump there at all; Dishnetwork using unique version numbers for all models, not for just one type.
