I have two Dish DVRs that my wife and I enjoy. The problem I am looking to solve is finding a way to operate the bedroom (2nd floor) DVR remotely and have the video appear in the living room (first floor). Any guidance and suggestions greatly appreciated.

RickTell us how the DVRs are connected to the TVs and how your house is wired? You may be able to diplex the output from receiver to the others location.

Thanks for the reply, Boba.
The DVRs are connected by coaxial cables and the internal house wiring is satellite dish-->SW44 switch -->DVRS-->TVs. I am guessing that I need some kind of unit to aggregate the signals and switch everything out to various TVs

Thanks

You don't list a TV antenna so I will guess 4 Diplexers will work From DVR 1 you would use a pair of diplexers to carry the ch3/4 signal back out to the SW-44. Another pair of diplexers will take the CH3/4 signal from the SW-44 to DVR 2. connect the Ch3/4 antenna input to the DVR's TV antenna input. When you shut off DVR 2, DVR 1s signal will be sent to that TV.

. . . is finding a way to operate the bedroom (2nd floor) DVR remotely and have the video appear in the living room (first floor).
I have 3 Satellite STBs and 1 Comcast 6208 PVR in my 2nd floor office. The high quality output Digital Audio and s-video cables go to Home Theatre in same area.

Each of the 4 "tuners" are hooked by R-W-Y cables to a ~$30 RS Agile Modulator, set for Cable Analog channels 92, 89, 86, 83, output on a normal F connector Coax. These are then logically combined (using two 3>1 splitter/combiners -- not simple splitters) into one Coax cable going downstairs.

I have located a manufacturer of a low-pass filter that cuts off the analog above about Cable 76. and then again combine these signals. Costs about $10 each. Same firm makes the low-pass filter the cable co uses to clip off at channel 23 for those buying their basic "OTA+PEG" $10/mo service.

That combined RF feed carries all the Standard Cable channels, plus my 4 tuners, throughout the house. At key TV sets, have a RS remote link
which takes the IR signal and echoes (via telephone wire) the signal upstairs, pointing at the 4 tuners. There is also a newer, more expensive model that uses UHF to send the signal back to my office "head end".
