I'm confused by your statement that you will not "wait" or "hold" items. Does that mean that if I tell you I will take something and send a money order to you -- that you will not "wait" for that to arrive or "hold" the items until it arrives? Meaning if someone else happens to get a payment to you quicker, you'd take theirs?

Or do you just mean that you won't "wait" or "hold" items for people that are "just thinking about it"?

Also -- do you have any feedback or anything to back you up somewhere else? It's just a bit "scary" that you are a brand-new user that expects everyone to send payment to you up front and you only accept money orders...

Not "waiting" or "Holding" meant that I wouldn't wait to clear the money orders. Thats why I requested USPS Money Orders. They would be hard to fake. Anyone who is interested I can provide my phone number and they can talk to me directly if they wish to do so. I'm not looking to goto jail for Internet Fraud here but I do see the caution your taking. I'm not looking to rip anyone off just to make a little money and clear some garage space.

I wouldn't recommend that. I sent him some $$$ quite some time ago and he has yet to send me a tracking number nor any merchandise. I suspect I may have been scammed. If I get a tracking number I will post here. I still wouldn't do it because it may be a tracking number for a box of rocks. Once I get the merchandise here I will also post. I guess that can be the problem in trying to deal with people who have no history here.

I look at the number of posts and how long they have been a member. Me and someone else on this site tried to buy some products off of someone and that person lied and didnt send us our product. Thankfully we got our money back eventually after calling and filing reports. The person was a member for a year but had few posts so one must have to look at that as well.

Update: We made contact. I spoke to Travis this evening. He says the stuff was shipped Tuesday, so I should see it tomorrow. He gave me a tracking #, but the # was for a package delivered to Manhattan KS, not Vero Beach, Florida. I sent a request to him for a good tracking #, but, since it was supposedly shipped Tuesday I will probably see it tomorrow. I assume the package is on the way. I will post when I get it.

Well, nothing has arrived yet today. I tried calling him and no answer. No response to my e-mail requesting a valid tracking number. No response to my PM requesting same. I am beginning to think it may be time to go to the next level and contact the authorities where he lives and have them visit the guy. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON!!

Local sheriff's dept has been notified and will be checking in here ror details. I am sure they will be interested in one of the links above.

Just received an e-mail from Travis' wife with a tracking number attached. SHE ended up delivering it to UPS today as it was STILL riding around in the back of his car. :rolleyes: We shall see if it is the stuff I ordered in the box. The address that she had is misspelled, but I think that UPS will probably find me. It is due here on Dec. 30.

The "stuff" arrived and appears to be in good shape. I had ordered the SW-64 and two Dish Pro Quads. He threw in a new Dish Pro adaptor, a new DP34 and four used SW-21's for my inconvenience. That helps a bit, but be VERY careful in dealing with this person.
