Has anyone ever had this problem?
I received my first 510 DVR in, I think, October of 2003 and am now on my third. After a few months, I will have this problem where the DVR will turn itself on and off constantly. It will acquire the signal and then sometimes stay on a channel for about 10 or 15 seconds, then shut itself off and repeat the process. This usually goes on for several hours and then it sometimes will start acting "normal" again. By that time I have already requested a replacement from Dish Network.
I noticed my current DVR doing this around five AM this morning, so it has been about five hours of constant shutting on and off. I haven't requested another DVR yet since it is the holidays but I plan to do so since this one seems faulty as well.
I received this third DVR in the first week of September. (I made a note so I would know just how long this one lasted...)
I'm curious to know if this has happened to anyone else or if it is just my bad luck. Is there anything I can do about it? Or is the DVR just cheaply made and thus destined to fail within a few months?
I would appreciate any help if possible. Thanks in advance!
