Mark, while I agree that this might not be a bug, it is not the way other dish receivers work. I can't speak for how the 811 works since I don't have one, but any other one if you enter '4' after about 3 seconds it goes to 4.

Now, the 921 has no issues with you entering '0' and going to the AUX input as I have done that on numerious occasions just by accidentially hitting 0, or only typing in 00 and not getting to the third digit in time before it changes the channel. I know on other HD boxes / built-in tuners, if you just enter the channel number, it goes to the analog broadcast channel. Or in the case of typing in a 4 digit channel, if I don't do it fast enought, it will change the channel to the first 3 digits (or the closest one to it)...

With that, I'm torn between a 'bug' and a 'feature request'. More like a 'Consistent User Experience' request between the 921 and other dish boxes.

If I punch in 047 when I want to go to digital OTA channel 47-1 it takes me there.

This is how I do it on my HDTIVO as well as my VOOM receiver. If I push in 47 I go to the satellite received channel 47 on the HDTIVO. Now, since I do not have satellite locals on the VOOM, the VOOM receiver also goes to local 47-1 when I press just 47.

So, the Voom does it both ways, The HDTIVO and the 921 works the same as they each also have satellite channels.

Please note that while I do go to the respective satellite channels for LIL, since I don't subscribe to them I just get the nag screen that I need to call to subscribe.

Does this help explain how other receivers do it?

I solved this problem by adding a 1 to the channell number. For example I used to enter 024 to get 24-1 now I enter 0241 to get 24-1 or 0242 to get 24-2.

The main concern is having to enter '004' instead of '4' to get to channel 4. On my other dish receivers, I can just type '4'. on the 921, I have to do 004. I don't have any issue with having to enter the subchannel number for HD, but for LIL SD from the SAT, I would think it would work like it does on my old 501.
