I was on my computer a few min. ago....and strange sounds started coming from my speakers. Like Train Whistles, beeps, evil laughs, cats meowing, Bleeps, and so on. It is still doing it and does it every so often. I don't know if it is a virus or what....Can Someone help me?

Um - if you were enjoying a particular chat - it was your Java settings which allowed sound from the chat.

Yeah those are sound effects used in the chat room. Going from left to right, the fifth icon over, near the bottom of the chat window will mute the chat sound effects for yourself.

could also be AOL noises. I have heard quite a few people with AOL complaining about the stupid sound effects, and that the computer randomly chuckles at them or says a random work.
