Can I run 2 lines from my DP Quad LNBF to a DPP44 and use the other 2 lines directly off the DP Quad for a 921.

Thanks,

Ken

That is not correct. He doesn't need a DPP Twin. He may need to swap out the DP Quad for a DP Twin LNB, but that's it.

Ken, why would you want to run it in this configuration, though? Do you need 6 lines out? If so, go with the DP34 switch, unless you need to be able to use a separator to feed dual tuner DVRs.

Edit: Nevermind...just read your other thread.

So a DP Quad won't work at all with a DPP44. Even if I leave two ports blank?

Just answered this in email to you Ken, but to be complete:

You CAN use the DP Quad with the DPP44 switch, but the 2 lines connected to the switch must be from ports 1 and 4 on the Quad LNB.

Mark,
What if you want to goto two DPP44 (each in a different location)?
Are you saying that wont work?

Kevin - you're asking if you can run 2 lines from 2 of the ports of the Quad to one DPP44, and then the other 2 lines to another DPP44? Based on the above response that I got from Dish Engineering about 15 minutes ago, I'd say that wouldn't work. I take it that cascading the DPP44 switches isn't a possiblility? That would be the normal setup method.

Thanks Mark,
It may be possible to cascade the DPP44's. I was hoping to dpp44 to dp34 in each of the two locations. I was only going to use the quad because I have one available.
(I might just try it anyway)
